hey guys, I am in the processes of purchasing a 6.5x300 weatherby mag, I want to reload but need help selecting dies.

At this point I have found both Redding and Hornady does but neither of which have a neck bushing. How important is bushing dies compared to the die sets below? Would I be able to make quality loads with these dies? Leaning toward the Redding's at this point.

I agree. Bushing dies are not required to load accurate ammo. Of the dies you have listed, my personal preference is for the Redding dies.

If you just HAVE to have bushing dies, you can call Whidden dies and have some custom made. I have a set of Whidden dies for a .338 Sherman wildcat. They are quality dies, but they are not cheap. I don't see them as offering an advantage outside competition shooting.

If you go the bushing die route get Whidden there better than Redding and not that much more. Whiddens also come with a case guage to help you set up your dies.
