seating depth inconsistencies can occur with dies and the way they fit the bullet tip.I had a lot of trouble with inconsistencies while using
swift sciroccos and redding seating dies.It seems the cavity in the seating dies wasn't the same shape as the nose of the bullet and any variance in the plastic tip length would mess my oal.Remember,most dies are manufactured for the standard lead tipped bullets which doesn't have the sharp nose angle of the plastic tipped bullets.I've had good luck seating plastic tipped bullets using a plain lee seating die.Hope this helps
