Scope upgrade

My 308 has a gen 1 PST 4-16x50 sfp on it. Looking into swapping it out for a XTR II 4-20. Is there a noticeable difference in the scopes? Glass, tracking etc? Or just stick with what I have? I'm sure there's better out there than the Burris but they seem to have great reviews and I can get a good discount on em. If I like it I was going to put the 3-15 on my matching 223.

My XTR2 4-20 is leaps and bounds ahead of my old PST 4-16.
10 mil turrets
20 power max
Nice zero stop
34mm tube. (That's not really a game changer for me, but it is a nice trendy addition that helps resale.)
The Burris is bulky and heavy. It's not what I would want on a hunting rifle, but I wouldn't want the PST on a hunting rifle either.
