My goodness jwp475, I could only think of my self doing that with my night force; makes me nervous. Them scopes must be real good to put up with all that abuse!! Thanks for sharing it!

Love it---I abused one (SN3) a lot worse than that (accident) and it never changed POI!!!

That is why I use them for all of my new hunting rifles!

Great scopes no doubt, but I lost interest after he shot the first group then stood up, removed the bolt and then began to loosen the mounts...then it zooms in and the bolt is back in. It's poorly edited,or magic. I'll let you, the viewer decide.


Added: Felt like a jerk for a second so I watched more of the video. It's goes back and forth with the bolt being in and out on the "test". Made it worse for me...sorry. You know the saying- Always go with your first instinct.

Yeah, I saw the same thing. I was more interested in the beginning where they show the Nightforce factory testing. Basically doing the same thing the dude in the video is doing, but at the factory before it comes out.

Kinda feel torn thinking that my scope went through that. On one hand I know it is tough, second thought though is they did that to my $2000 scope!

I tried to find more info on the factory test but can't so far.

Personally....I find such tests or testing to be 99% ********! Who that checks in here is going to treat their optics with that sort of dis-respect.? Whats it do over the long haul?
What happens if it has to go back to the factory?
What about the light transmission...good or poor?
What about weight?

and on and on and on. Things that really matter to a hunter or even a varmint shooter.

Its great to see ONCE...and after that.......

Who takes a scope off a rifle and throws it? A realistic test would be to leave the scope on the rifle and drop it scope first four feet onto a large rock.
