scope for 300 wby

The Swarovski is 18 oz, the Bushnell 22 oz, and the Leupold is 24 oz. One of my 6500s has a mill dot, another a plex, and the last one 600 DOA. The DOA has one minute dots when the magnification is set on 20X. I guess they would work for the typical .30-06 180, but I run a .270 Win with 110 grainer going 3,500 feet per second. When sighted for 200 yards the first dot down works perfectly at 300 and the next one's group is centered about 1/2 minute high at 400. The rest don't work at all at this velocity. But a 110 grain bullet at 400 yards is good enough for me.

Are they the genes triple shock you are shooting.

The bullets are Barnes TTSX 110 grains.
Mow Mr.Coyle I hope I am not derailing the post but have you had any issue's with high pressure dis you feel you had to back off a Bit on charges?I load myself and I love.the concept of Barnes in the 90"s before Barnes ttx I tried never I believe came with some monolithic copper rounds at just over 2.00$ a pop and I had flattened primers and one case separating just in front of the belt and this as fresh Remington brass and ever since I have been afraid of loading them again
.I would love to try but I am just scares I guess is the word.

Newbweatherby,

When I work up a load I go up till the bolt is slightly sticky or an ejector mark shows up. Then I back off a grain and a half and adjust for over all length. This load happened to match Barnes max velocity with two grains below their max load. I use 63.5 grains of Ramshot Hunter. The groups ran 5/16" to 5/8" for three shots and up to 15/16" for five shots. Definitely okay for this woods hunter. By the way the rifle is a Weatherby Mark V six lug ultralight.

The free streloc phone app has your reticle and will provide the sub tensions for your load. The better you input the better it's output in my experience with it.
