Schmidt & Bender Pm ii 5x25

Got my Schmidt & Bender Pmii 5-25x56 and went testing over the weekend, when shooting at 100m the parallax needs to be set at approximately 150m before there is no parallax and the targert is in focus, the distance marking does not line up with the index mark. Why is this?

The parallax knob markings are not intended to be range-finders.

If it bothers you send it back. But I think this is inconsequential.
I have two of these scopes, and honestly haven't and won't check
the accuracy of the parallax knob markings. I can focus the scopes
and eliminate parallax with no problem at all.

Mine is dead on, it's to expensive a piece to except poor workmanship.
