Scheels has Berger 156 EOLs and 140s in stock

You have to remember that the online retailers like Midway are also paying more for bullets, so they pass that on to the customer. Scheel's may have been selling new old stock, hence the lower price.

Not old as in "old," but old as in came in before later shipments of the same item that cost more. Happens all the time in the moderns supply chain. I watched a national sporting goods chain go bankrupt because they would keep changing suppliers and, with everything computerized, the same items would come in with different codes. Then they would get a sell order to close out item code 23456 at half price while having item code 78910 (which was actually the exact same product) on the shelf at the normal price. I used to buy Muzzy broadheads for $8.00 a half dozen from the closeout shelf after walking by the same Muzzy broadheads in the archery department marked $24.99.
