Savage ultra lite 6.5 creedmoor proof barrel

I would rather have proof just send me a new barrel, but they probably want the whole rifle.
I got it boxed up and ready to go if they won't, I know I have to talk to them first to get a rma

After 7 attempts I get an average of 2.019 off the ogive !With the bullet c.o.a.l. 2.618? Does this barrel have a short throat?

Should tell you how poor that OAL system of measure really is..
You're looking at a loaded round with a bullet seated to land touching. Does it look short to you?
Is the bullet bearing too deep in the case?

Yes it does

It'll chamber Hornady 120 grain,not 140 grain

You did good to send it in.
I would have done the same after repeatedly not being able to close the bolt or close with a jam on factory rounds.

I have. They replaced a barrel or me. I'm on the west coast and they are on the east. So that took about a week each way.
Then, they closed shop for a few days for holidays. So there's that. Mine was close to 4 weeks.
