Savage target action milled to be repeater?

Has anyone taking a savage target action single shot and milled out the bottom to make it into a repeater running off of a box magazine?

With savage actions being so cheap I don't know I would waste the time and effort to possibly ruin a perfectly good action. If you absolutely do not want to buy another action I'd try to trade for one.

Do you want to have a large shank barrel? If not, just trade for a varmint action.

You are probably aware that this has been done - by Savage. Buy an Model 12 LRP and that is what you get, a target action with the DBM. And with the LRP you also get the nice HS Precision stock.

I wish they would just sell that action with the dbm setup. Maybe if I call them they can sell me the action.
