I have a Savage 12 large shank LA(I think )
That I'm using as a build
Looking for help on bottom metal

I'm interested in making it a repeater using aftermarket parts and a switch bbl
System
I have both bolt faces now
A good stock and a few bbls

I'm wondering if I can get a LA mag and use it for feeding 260 as well as LA magnums
Or will I have issues?
I have looked at ptg bottom metal and others.

I should mention I want to make detachable mag system

You can feed the 260 from a LA 30-06 based cartridge(magazine) but the feed lips from a magnum magazine are two large to hold the 260 down.

Would I be able to use a LA bottom metal that accepted mags and just change magazines with the bbl, ie 260 w la and the other bbl with magnum mags?

check with CDI precision gunworks. IF their DBM is the same for standard 300 win and standard LA, you can get 2 differnt mags. CDI has free inletting right now. They'll tweak both mags and get them running for you.

Not at the moment, but I will let you know if I do.
It has a ptg spirle bolt and mag bolt face and I have the 308 FACS as well
