I have a very nice Savage 340 B in 223 caliber. No metal showing, wood is perfect, well almost. I think there are 2 very ,very light dings but nothing through the finish. It has a flat teflon finish (NOn glare).This is a very light gun for you varminters. No open sights but a scope mount is mounted. $375 + $15 shipping & Ins.
