Savage 12 LRP 260 Remington Loads

Just picked up a model 12 LRP w/HS stock. Really excited to see what this rifle will do. Wondering if anyone has any experience with this rifle and, if so, any particular load you like. Will be using for longer range deer hunting as well as some target. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

The 260 is a very capable cartridge for long range shooting and hunting on deer sized game. I'd look into using H4350, RL16, H4831sc, RL23, and/or RL26 for powder, Peterson brass, 140gr Berger Elite Hunters or 140gr ELDs, with Federal 210s.

Thank you, have had good luck w/HDY so may start down that path. I have some StaBall so may try that as H4350 is nonexistent in my part of TN.

H4350 is a good choice. 140's or 120's and H4831SC is generally a no brainer accuracy wise 43 to 46 with 140 and 45 to 48 with 120. I have had better luck with Remington 9.5's than 210M but both are good choices.
