This gun started as a Savage 116 Lightweight Hunter in 270. The 270 barrel had about 150 rounds through it, and a few trips to the deer blind. Decided I wanted to convert to 280 AI, so I bought a barrel from NSS and had it cut down to 18" to run a suppressor. I screwed the barrel on for pictures, but it has not been torqued down or fired yet, barrel is new. When I ship, the action and barrel will come in 2 pieces. The barrel will need to be head spaced and installed by you or a gunsmith. Also have a Harrel's muzzle break for it, bored for .284 caliber. This barrel is a little thicker than the stock 270 barrel, it's rubbing on the stock a little bit, might need some sanding if you want a true free float. Last thing, bottom of action has some markings. I had bedded the gun in a boyds stock at one point, and when I removed it, I had to scrape off glue in some places. Non of the markings can be seen when action is installed in the stock.
