I'm looking at the Savage 110 Storm in 6.5-284 Norma. I already have a Remington Sendero 7mm Rem Mag, so not looking for another heavy gun like the Savage 110 LR Hunter. Does anybody have or shot a 110 Storm in any caliber to give me some feed back. The 110 Storm in 6.5-284 Norma is a long action so it opens up a lot of potential for hand loading. Thanks Tom

Did you ever end up buying one of these? I was looking at them last night online but haven't seen one in person.

I was able to look at a 30-06 at BassPro. I was about to order one when a friend found a deal on a Tikka CTR 6.5 CM. So I ended up with a gun that I said I didn't want to get. Story of my life. Don't get me wrong, I like the Tikka, but kinda wished I had ordered the 110 Storm in 6.5-284.

I have a Savage Long Range Hunter 6.5 284 and it's throated rather long for the vld style bullets to reach or touch the rifling the bullet it's too far out of the case neck for handloaders even though some guns can jump the VL D's mine didn't. I've been looking at that same gun also was considering having it re throated if I got one

Was it the caliber you didn't want or the brand of rifle? A friend of mine swears by Tikka's. I have an Xbolt Hell's Canyon long range in 6.5 Creedmoor that is my go to hunting rifle but I don't ant something with a little more umph, without the added recoil. At this point I'm saving up for a 6.5 PRC, Browning has finally released theirs in a couple models but I may save up for a Christensen Arms Ridgeline. I hear they are tack drivers for half the price of a custom rifle.
