Savage 110 E stock

Looking for a replacement stock for my soon to be semi custom 284. I looked at B&C but they only have sporter barrel stocks. HS precision has LA for the BA version savages. Not sure it will fit my 110 E. Came acrossed Hogue stocks but know nothing about them. Anyone with any experience with them? Was looking at pillar bedded instead of the bedding block since I was going to bed the whole action anyway.

Would appreciate any other suggestions.

I bought one of these about 10 years ago from Sharpshooter Supply, when they used to sell them under their name, and think it is a pretty good stock.

Is there something special about a Savage 110E?

Is it a staggered feed action or a centerfeed action?

I have purchased several HS Precision long action stocks and put Stevens LA and Savage LA model 110/111/116 centerfeed actions in them.

What's a BA version Savage?

Doug I honestly don't think so. I wanted to convert it to DBM and that was it. I think the E is just an older model. I take another look at HS and make sure. Those Hogue reviews seem to suck.

If it is an older Savage flat top / staggered feed action you'll need to go with something like a CDI bottom metal and have a blind magazine stock machined to accept it.

All but one of my Savages have the factory centerfeeded detachable magazine. So I like them, they work just fine. They also have a lot of room for a factory magazine.

I bought the last couple detachable magazine frames / bottom metal directly from Savage, and the magazines.
