Savage 10 BAK-S

I am wanting to get in to shooting 1000 yard targets but cant afford $5000-$6000 for a rifle, I was at Cabelas and was looking at Savages new 10 BAS-K rifle chambered in the 338 Lapua, it is only $1999. Does anyone know how good this rifle would be at 1000 yards? Has anyone read any reviews of it? I have shot some Savages that were more accurate than some custom rifles that I have shot, how would this rifle stack up against some of the $5000-$6000 rifles that these custom builders are making?
