Sako L61R Bolt Face Mod

I'm drooling over a custom rifle sporting a Sako L61R action, currently chambered in 30/06. I've never owned or even shot a Sako, but was wondering if the bolt face could be opened up to safely accommodate a 300 WM or PRC.

Yes it can.

You can see from the photograph that the bolt face can be opened by simply turn if you know what you're doing. The extractor will need to be replaced with a magnum extractor.
