Sako "Classic" A-II in .243 cal., excellent condition. This rifle will be sold with everything you see in the picture. I purchased this rifle back in the mid 80's for my father to hunt with. He hunted with me once, taking a Pronghorn and Mule Deer…been in the safe since.
The scope is a compact Zeiss Diavari-C 3-9x36mm with a Plex reticule as new condition, no visible signs of wear, glass remains clear/bright, made in West Germany. Rings are Leupold, 1" and attach directly to the dovetail that is integral (standard Sako design) to the action.
The Sako A II action and barrel are free of any wear, the metal finish remains a deep lustrous blue color. The barrel is 23 in. long with a muzzle diameter of .650", the bore is bright and shiny. The trigger is adjustable, currently set around 2.5#'s. Hinged floor plate magazine with a 4 rd capacity.
The stock is the "classic" style with a straight comb and a raised cheek piece. This walnut has nice straight grain the forend and pistol grip with some contrasting dark grain in the butt stock…nice piece of wood for a factory stock of this era (1980's). The cut checkering remains sharp, there is a rosewood cap on the pistol grip and the original "Sako" branded butt pad remains in place. Again, I can find no visible wear on this piece of wood.
This rifle/scope combination weighs 8# 6oz and remains in pristine condition…asking $1650 shipped CONUS to your FFL dealer.
The first post "I'll take it" followed by PM gets it.
Note: Receiving FFL holder must accept shipment from non-FFL holder.
