I have a Smith and Wesson "Silhouette" Model 29 .44cal with a 10-5/8" barrel. Yes this is a revolver. One advantage is that if you miss the shot, the barrel is normally close enough to whack your prey on the head to knock it unconcious. I would really prefer a S&W 6 inch .44 cal, but, I purchased this one many years ago when I used to range shoot every weekend. It's the one I have, so it's the one I will hunt with.
I am looking for a good across the chest carry holster for this revolver. It will need to fit while wearing an Eberlestock Backpack. I would prefer a good grain leather for the holster material. Do any of you have suggestions?
