This rifle looks almost un-fired. I picked it up as a project but don't have the time.
There really isn't a mark on it, but someone did add some scope mount holes on the barrel to use this as a scout rifle. As you can see, there are 4 additional holes on the barrel to mount a scout scope on. The set of center holes are for factory iron sights. I've measured the holes, whoever machined them in did a very good job getting them true and square.
There is a rear peep sight on the rear mount. If someone were to put a scout scope on, it would be a great little setup. Otherwise you can easily mount a scope in the conventional location and have a nice nimble 308.
I'm not sure why, but you don't see many of these in 308.
