Ruger 6.5-06 A Square

A Ruger Hawkeye action. E.R. Shaw stainless 24" light sporter , 1/8 twist, Bbl. . 6.5-06 A Square chambering.. Same ballistics as the 6.5 PRC.. Put this rifle together several years ago. Took a very mature elk the first season using the Hammer Hunter 121gr bullet. One shot. Has been sitting ever since. 3238 fps with my load of H-4350. Always have formed from, once fired 25-06 brass. Target shows a typical 3 shot group using the Hammer 121gr. One shot top hole, two shots thru lower hole. I'm a hunter , not a target shooter. Prefer not to subject the throat to the wear & tear of 5 shot groups. Factory syn stock. Bbl completely free floated. No nicks, scratches or gouges. Clean!! Scope not included but quick release scope rings are included. $800 + shipping. If you were to come by & pick it up I would include 20rds loaded with the Hammer 121gr. Also 22 rds loaded with the Nosler 140gr AB bullet. With my load of Rel 26 , I get 3075fps with the Noisler 140 AB, & very accurate. RCBS loading dies are available to the buyer, first. I'm located about 55miles NW of Missoula, Montana. Might maybe consider some type of a trade for a stainless Ruger Blackhawk/Super Blackhawk ,45 Colt/44 mag, 4 5/8" Bbl. Maybe!! if you don't like the open sights, they screw off.

As an update. Shot the rifle today, 6.5-06 ( temp, mid 70's ) Three shot group , Barnes 130gr TSX. Off the shelf Rem 25-06 brass stepped up to 6.5. Load was with Rel 22, Win LR primers. Vel 3120fps. Loaded on basic RCBS dies. Three shots , 100yds. just for general interest, this load shoots almost right on top of the Hammer 121gr bullets.. You could hunt with either load , with the same setting. Interesting.
