as stated above. High polish blue with torx screws. They measure exactly 2/5's from the top of base to the bottom of the scope by my engineers scale. I am thinking that is medium but not sure. I have never used them. They came with a ruger I bought but cant remember which one. I think the 77/22 and mini rifles will work at the rings are the exact same and will not work with the staggered height MKII rifles. Hows $25
