I'm about to order a Zeiss S3 6x36 scope. It has a 34mm tube and a 56mm objective. I will be mounting it on a picatinny rail. Looking to minimize how high it is. The rifle has a barrel with a 2b contour which isn't that thick. If you have a scope with a 34mm tube and 56mm obj., what worked for you? I can at least look up the specs for the height if I choose a different brand since the ring manufacturers have widely differing dimensions on, for example, what they consider 'high' (I've seen anywhere from about 1" to 1.3"). Otherwise, I will have to order the scope, and once I get it, try to somehow measure what height will work by perhaps measuring the scope height with the obj. touching the barrel and the distance there is from the tube to the rail, or something like that!?
