I was looking at using a bead blasted finish on both a stainless receiver and action for my build, thinking this would give me a fairly dull and non reflective surface that was quite weather resistant.
But now I see the action I was planning to use (Surgeon) comes only in chrome moly steel and is shipped "in the white" only. So this leads me to the question of how to finish it off.
I'm interested in something economical that will be very weather resistant and hold up well to the typical treatment of a hunting rifle. Any suggestions?
