I'm considering selling my Remington Sendero SF II in 264 win mag. It started life as a stock SF II and the previous owner I bought it from had the action trued and the factory barrel put back on. When I bought it from him a few years ago, I put it in a bell and carlson m40 stock, put a timney trigger in it. I then had it bedded by Alamo Precision Rifles, spiral fluted the bolt, add a tactical knob, thread the barrel 5/8x24 and cerakote the barreled action.
Honestly, I haven't hunted with it in 3 years and it's just taking up room in the safe. I'm fortunate enough to have other options and this one never gets hunted.
It's in awesome shape and shoots several factory rounds very well - I'll post a pic of my best group at 200 yards but it was under 3/4". Nosler Custom 130gr accubond and winchester silver box 140gr power points. The Nosler Customs I've chrono'd at an average of 3175 fps and the power points at 3079 fps (avg for 5 shots).
I made my longest kill shot with this rifle 4 years ago on a red stag - 803 yards and it didn't take another step. It's an awesome rifle that someone needs to be using and enjoying.
Not sure how to price this one, as I've put money into that I know I won't get back...how's $1,500 with whatever factory ammo I've got left and all the once-fired brass? Should have about 40 rounds of each.
Looks like new they're about $1,100 at the cheapest place I could find.
Timney trigger was $130
I know I spent $600 on the following at APR on the customization:
- bedding, bolt fluting, bolt knob, barrel threading w/blended thread cap, cerakote
