700 XCR bought new in 2011 (black nitride stainless steelbarrel and action)
B&C alaskan stock w/ alumnium bedding block)
stock/action professionally bedded
side-port muzzle brake installed and dura-coated black (muzzlebrakesandmore.com)
X-mark trigger worked over by smith - breaks nicely at ~2 pounds
Scope and bi-pod not included, but could keep the mounts on the rifle. I had the smith square them and loctite.
Here's what I have in it:
Bare rifle:$800
Stock: $250
Muzzle brake install, bed, and trigger job: $375
Brake: $65
Mounts: $30
So that's around $1500 total – I'd like to get $950 OBO out of it since it has some dings and wear marks. I would estimate 250 rounds down the tube – that includes firing the original brass (Rem "power level 1"corelocks) I've tried to show the scratches and marks in the photos as best as I can. Full disclosure:
· There is some paint missing on the stock from the edge ofthe grip where it wore on my pack (pic)
· Barrel / muzzle brake scratches (pic)
· Trigger guard wear (pic)
The gun hasn't been mistreated, it's actually been used very little – I slipped on a rocky slope while elk hunting, thus the damage.
It shoots the175 Barnes LRX really good and I worked with the 215 Bergers a little - they shot ok - under an inch with Retumbo. I didn't get back to tweaking that load yet.
