I went down the exact same road with my daughter. Is this an ADL? I decided to go with the SS BDL Model 7 dropped into a factory youth stock.

Why the switch to the model 7?
My son can start deer hunting this fall. He has been shooting my 22-250 but I think a .243 would be more appropriate for deer. He's a smaller framed kid.

I just kind of think it is a better rifle, has a fluted small profile barrel, compact. 700s seem to be a hot commodity right now and I just put it up for sale
