Remington 700 Varmint SS 22-250 Rem
- Stainless barreled action, 26" Varmint contour, 1:14 twist
- SPS Varmint Stock
- Simmons 6.5-20x50 scope included along with bases and rings.
- Rifle has just been sitting for the last few years.
- Not exactly sure on round count, but conservative estimate of 150 on the high end, and likely much closer to 100.
- The rifle was not used much, the barrel was allowed plenty of time to cool between shots, and it was only ever used on the bench.
- Best groups were obtained with IMR 8208 XBR and 50 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips.
- Best 3 shot groups were sub .5 moa and above 3,900 fps.
- I can't remember ever running into pressure signs, even on warm days, and I believe 4,000 is attainable with the 50 gr NBT's.
- One final note, the rifle was subjected to a Remington recall on the trigger and the rifle has been serviced with regard to that recall.
- Would make an outstanding varmint rifle in it's current configuration or use it for your next build.
