I got a few questions, but first the back story.
My uncle bought a used Rem 7 in 308 a few month ago and started hunting with it right away. The first 10 deers and a few hogs have been taken and he's really content with the gun, except for one thing. He's quite a big guy, over 6'6" and the thumbhole stock just doesn't really fit him well.
He's looking for a new stock now and asked me to help him with that.
As far as I know there are only 2 versions of the action, differing regarding the floor plate, either hinged or fixed, right?
I was thinking about getting a boyds at-one stock and bedding it myself.
Does anyone have experience with this stock?
Secondly, does anyone know a website where to get info's about Remington rifles by entering their serial numbers?
