Rem 700 Stock Question

I just purchased a used, approx 12 yr old, 700 ADL in 7mm Rem Mag. I'd like to put a different stock on it. I see they make LA & LA Mag stocks for ADL's. My question is: Will a normal LA stock fit a Mag rifle by opening up the barrel channel or are there other differences as well?

they are the same, long action is long action. barrel channel may or may not need opened up
