CDL stock - OEM
OEM barreled action - sporter LA
OEM mag box
PTG bottom metal - hinged BDL type
With the mag box seated correctly into the action cut and the CDL stock seated fully into the stock the bottom metal will not sit down properly.
The mag box is seated correctly into the relief cut in the bottom metal.
The bottom metal sits down properly at the forward (towards muzzle) but the back end is elevated by a fat 1/8" or more.
The mag box is seated into the action and into the bottom metal.
Is there a shorter version of the R700 mag box made to fit the CDL stock ?
I don't want to whittle on this mag box if there is something off-the-shelf that will fit.
Another way to phrase my question would be :
Is there an ADL height mag box and a BDL height mag box ?
