I have a young man that is ready to start hunting. He is turning 8 this year and has graduated from bb gun to .22 and is now ready for a light deer rifle. I have a Rem 700 youth stock, so I am looking for a light .243 in a full sized stock. That way I can mount the gun in the youth stock for now, and as he grows, move him back into the adult stock.

I am not looking for a custom, or semi custom. Prefer an older .243 that is still accurate and in good shape. Because of the stock situation, I am looking for a BDL Rem 700 only.

Let me know what you have and what you are looking to get out of it.

I have a R700 in 243. Wood stock. Believe it's a 22" barrel. I'd be willing to give up for the young man. I can get pics when I return home tomorrow from shift.
