Rem 700 ai?

I was in my local gun shop earlier today and saw a remington 700 for sale. it was a newer actions with the jlock and xmark. I thought it was some new version of the sps tactical or something. but I just got online, and now after looking on the internet a bit i see that rem does not offer a 280 Ackley Improved am i right on that?

You are Correct.

Nosler Custom Rifles are chambered for the.280 AI and some makers offer it as a custom shop offering. T/C offers a Custom Shop option for a Encore barrel.

If you want a Remington 700 in a .280 AI, It would be best to have one rebarreled. I personally would build off of a older Chrome-Moly action and have it blueprinted and doneright the first time....
