I've loaded Sierra 140SBT with imr4831 @ 61.3gr 3.340". That's 1/2gr over max (60.8gr) from #5 manual. Been loading it since '84. Trying to finish a 32" McGowen on a MDT chassis w/110 action. Purpose built for 140-150grs.

Thanks. Do you have any pet loads with temp stable powders? Living in CO and hunting from 4000 - 13000ft, I can't trust anything that has even the slightest issue with temps.
I've used that exact load for 39 years and nothing else. I haven't loaded anything for the new build yet. I do have plenty of more temp stable powders, but haven't done any load development for any and/or every bullet on new build or the 1 bought back in '16.

Start at 65 gr retumbo and work up. Mine maxed over 3100fps with a 140, should get close to 3200. Have shot this combo for years in several different rifles.
