Reliable & Affordable Scopes! Your go to is?

I have a fair amount of guns and I can't put $700 - $1500 scope on all of them, nor do I need to I guess. I have some AR's and smaller caliber riffles I want to put something decent, reliable and affordable on. I have some Burris FF I really like and have great luck, I have Primary Arms' on my muzzle and have had good luck. What else would everyone recommend? $200 - $500 range. Thanks for the input. Oh and I don't care about the turret and prefer a BDC type reticle.

Burris. Hands down the best value for quality in the economy line of scopes. Fullfield IIs and Fullfield E series. I have $110 Burris shotgun scopes that are 8-10yrs old and take a beating. I don't even confirm zeros year to year anymore. They just stay solid.

Edited to add: The Fullfield IIs drawback is the ocular is the magnification ring. So, scope caps get rotated in weird positions on the ocular as one adjusts the magnification. For a bolt gun this can put the cap lid in interference with the bolt throw. Also, the ocular can get stiff and extremely hard to turn in freezing temps.

The E1 line don't have as nice of surface finish as the II line, but the power ring is separate from the ocular, so no worries about scope cap lids.

These have been reliable for me on rifles that ride on the tractor or in the Ranger. They get banged around and I don't dial. I used Burris' reticle analysis tool to get my drops for the BDC reticle.

Or 6x swfa. They also make the ultralight 2.5-10x with a bdc reticle for 223, but it doesn't have the 50cal rated designation.

I've got a maven rs.2 that I love. It's got a bdc type reticle. Used they're usually $425-$450

Burris fullfield ii 3-9x40 with bdc have been really good for about $150.

I've also really enjoyed burris veracity 3-15x50 with bdc on FFP. $500 or a little more on fleabay.

Vortex Diamondback has been my go to for the last 10 years to so. I have a bunch of VXII's, and Fullfield II's, and think the Burris is clearer. All my kids, neices, nephews first rifles get a Fullfield II. My nephew fell in Montana last year hit his hard enough it dented the tube on the objective. Knocked it off by 4", and it tracked right back and has not moved yet. My test mule is a DB 4-12, and I lost track of the number of rifles/muzzle loaders it's been mounted on. The paint is wearing off its been mounted and used so much. Its on a 7mm RM now I plan on running some test loads in tomorrow. It tracks perfectly and holds zero every time.

I'm that guy I guess. This is LRH... we encourage you to go broke. Of course you can't swing 3,4,5 but if you can swing one reasonable top dollar scope you won't be disappointed. I love the Mark 5 HDs, if your military/leo they become more reasonable....

If you're going to dial, SWFA and Nightforce seem to be more commonly referred to as "less likely to fail" at some point. SWFA clearly being the more value friendly option.
