This deer was shot with 180 gr Woodleigh protected points from a Tikka .30-06. Great Bullets!

True that, I have taken tons of African plains Game as well as Lions and Elephants with Woodleighs. They are tough and shoot very accurately. They would crush hogs, elk, bears and anything you point them at as long as you're using the appropriate weight and caliber.

Mostly 375 H&H but also .308 and 338 Win Mag. But with a 375H&H you can do it all with 250g up to 350g bullets. Plus even small game can be taken with solids without destroying hides. The 375 loads I was using were pretty flat shooting (13" drop at 300 yards with a 100 yd zero). I once killed a 1600lb Eland Bull with one shot at 309 yds. I've also used 416 Rigby and have a ton of respect for lots of big bores but my favorite is the 375.
