Close doesn't count in gunsmithing. Look at the numbers again.
You are trying to put a smaller, shorter chamber in a barrel which has a larger, longer chamber and a steeper neck angle.
'A couple of threads' won't get it done properly. Cut the whole tenon off and start with most of a fresh barrel. However, with this being a factory barrel, I'd stop here while we're just discussing it and look for a new barrel. There is no sense in my opinion to waste the money trying this at all with a factory barrel.
Get a new barrel and find a good gunsmith to handle the project and get a properly chambered new barrel.
