Has anyone tried either of these powders in their 6.5mm Sherman Long (the one formed from .270 Win. brass)?

140 grain SP or BTSP types.Bullet?
It's not a typical bullet/powder combination that 6.5 Sherman owners load, but here's a baseline that might help you: https://shermanwildcatcartridges.com/sherman-load-data. You might also use loads for 6.5-06 (https://hodgdonreloading.com/rldc/?t=1). LRT and US869 might be too slow, but it does not mean it will not work. Good luck!140 grain SP or BTSP types.
Would you know if Ramshot LRT is as slow burning as US 869?what you posted will work. You will find though that you will likely run out of room before you get where it works best. A heavier bullet will work more efficiently for you with that powder
US869 is much slower.Would you know if Ramshot LRT is as slow burning as US 869?
Thanks! Were any of those compressed charges?I had to go back & check my records as I knew I ran a pressure test with LRT in my 6.5SS. I ran 62-70grs. with a 160 Matrix, Norma brass, WLR primer, & no issues in my set up. Slightly flat primer but no stiff bolt lift & all went in about a 1 MOA group @ 100yds. I never went further to develop a final load development.
