I am putting together another .308 Norma mag and would like some QuickLoad data to get a starting point and an idea. Most of the published data I find for 200-208s is with 4831. This rifle will have a 28" barrel and I want to do some testing with slower powders other than 4831. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would run some numbers with the 208gr ELD/A-MAX with IMR 7828, IMR 7977, and H1000. My C.O.A.L. will be 3.530" thank you.

When you want loads from a book, you should buy it.
Seems like you already know the software is good, so buy it.

For those who 'feed the bears', every time you do so more requests follow. Where you provide for one, you're somewhat on the hook to continue. This, undermining the original innovator's return.
Other innovator's see this, less viability in return for their efforts, and their part in progress slows.
Feeding mooches hurts us all.

OP, simply asking for ideas to get started is different. People want to help.
They post what they can for us/you over here:

This is open, free, and ethical to use this way.

I thought this website was for people to share data and experiences. Didn't realize running some numbers through a program was such a hard task. Guess I'll just do it the old way and work up my own data

you wont get enough H1000 in case. IMR7977 is not listed. IMR7828SSC use max load forIMR4831. quick load has to many adjustments to be any more accurate than that.

I can comfortably fit up to 74gr of H1000 in the case before it becomes compressed, but thanks anyways.

and you will still have low pressures. low to mid 50s but no guarantee
Just remeasured it with IMR 7977 which is very close to H1000, 77gr sits in the middle of the shoulder and the base of the bullet is pressed against it but the load isn't very compressed. This is a near max load of H1000 and is over max with 7977 in a .300 Win Mag, the Norma should top off around 74gr at the very max with H1000 and 73gr of 7977. So I'm going forward with the powder and seeing how it does. Going to start around 69gr with both and see how they do. Working up until my primers flatten and I see slight ejector marks.

sounds like a safe place to start. just to many different adjustments in quick load

example
74.0 H1000 208 ELD .060 off 53000 psi
74.0 H1000 208 ELD .005 jam 67000 psi

i have had good luck at .060 off in my 300 win mag 78.0 IMR 7977 208AMAX coated bullets good luck with your load work up
