So, about to start installation and feeding for a 264 WM, 24" X-Caliber, 1:8, 5R.
Curious what velocity people are getting for the svelte but heavy pills in their setups. Talking 156 EOL, 147 ELDM, 153 ATIP, etc.
Please adjust your velocity for a 24" barrel BEFORE VOTING. Just estimate it at 25 fps per inch. For example: 3000 fps in a 26" barrel...3000 - ((26-24)x25) = 2950 fps or 2900 fps in a 22" barrel...2900 - ((22-24))x25 = 2950 fps. Obviously this isn't exactly moon shot science, but it's close enough for an internet poll.
Also, to be clear, I'm not talking about "This one time at band camp I got 3300 fps", but actual accuracy loads you all have settled on and feed your rifles.
You can choose two speeds, in case your setup runs right between the choices.
If you'd be willing, also post your load and rifle info below, with as much detail as possible.
Just for fun, post what you think the average will be after 20 responses. There's no real reward for being right, but I'll give a like to whoever get's closest!
My guess is 2975 fps.
