Took me four years of waiting but I got into the Pueblo West Sportsmans Association, they have ranges to 400 yards and its ten mins from my home( saves gas). Cheap annual dues too, but ya gotta pay on time or you're outta there.

Another place nearby sorta is Royal Gorge Gun CLub with Ranges to 1300 yards and life memberships (my next big thing).

The Pueblo West Sportsmans are investigating/negotiating to add a 1000 yard range to their already nice facilities. YeeHaw, that ought to be fun and I wont have to drive to Canon. Life is good.

Your a lucky guy, enjoy. The closest here is 600 yards and a 53 mile drive with the 1000 yard about 200 miles. The good news is the closer one is in the planning stages to go to 800 yards.
