Been loading some .223 for plinkin and varment hunting. While loading
I noticed a few primers went into the case relatively easy later on at the
Range my rifle malfunctioned several times. I had feeding problems and even
Trigger controls issues. I took it apart a few times and found pieces of primer
Inside. Didn't see any noticeable damage. I cleaned my a.r. And it functions
Properly as near as I can tell. Any tips on how to avoid this?

your loads are WAY too hot! Do a search on here for pressure signs, and you will find loose primer pockets are near the top of that list. What is your load may I ask?

back off a grain see what happens. have you chronographed your velocity? unusual shiny spots on your case head? I would be willing to bet you will stop seeing primer pockets loosening up if you back your powder down, its just too hot as it

No access to a chronograph just a hillbilly making rabbit bullets. I'll try
It . So the 3 ? Is that for 300 wsm? I'm thinking of getting one . Do you
Have one? Do you like it?

OOPS I answered your question wrong... the Number 3 does include 300wsm if your shooting a good bullet like a bonded or all copper bullet. In my case it is my 338 Lapua and my 375 ultra. 300 wsm is a very efficient cartridge though I have played with them a lot and will probably buy one sometime

I thought you were talking about the 3 in "team 3 ball" thats what that was but then i realized you were talking about my quote on elk guns. so I rewrote my responce... glad you like the Ferd commercial too though

No its a Bolt action, its the one in my signature pic. I have rung my 24"x24" gong out to 1700 yards but im out of scope adjustment shortly after, I am hoping a NF scope is my next upgrade.
