Powder Valley

Regardless of what you think of Midway, NOBODY has donated more to the "cause" than Larry. Having said that, all my primer/ powder needs will be directed to Powder Valley first.
I'd be interested to know how much Larry has donated to the cause, as you put it, and how you know. If you're referring to the NRA Round-up; then that's his customers who actually donated to "our" cause and not Larry. Did Larry match our donations?

Please enlighten us.

Midway has been great with contributions to our local youth trap team. I still support Midway with many other items they provide. Powder/projectiles just isn't one of them currently. Don't fall into this "cancel culture" trend of late. Midway still does many great things for our sport/hobbies... Gotta stick together folks..

Kudos to PV. Unfortunately I haven't been able to score anything I wanted or hit them at the right time. I will keep trying. However, I really don't understand the "scalping" label given to Midway. Their powder prices are very slightly higher than at my LGS. But right now they aren't getting any stock in at all. Midways hazmat charge is less than some of the other places I've ordered from, Natchez for one. I just got 4 boxes of .45 bullets from Midway that were no higher than anyone else. So I'm curious what "scalping" examples there have been?

Saw this on their Facebook page-
The battle is tough but some people just don't care. I hate it. I really do. Today we had to block a few persons from accessing our website. We also had to cancel over $20,000 in orders. Why? Because it's the right thing to do. We could have let those orders go through. But, we didn't. It cost us over $1,200 to cancel those orders. Each credit card transaction costs us about 3%. Figure in that running the card cost us 3% and then crediting the transaction cost us another 3%. How many statements do we need to put on our website? How many places do we need to put where you have to agree to the daily and individual limitations. People try to act all slick willy and figure out ways around the limitations we've placed and then act all coy like they had no idea....... Come on folks. I may look like an idiot but most of the time I'm not and this ain't my first rodeo. Heck folks, I've even had people contact me and ask for me to charge them 10% more than our listed price and allow them to purchase $50,000 to $100,000 worth of powder per month. We're not going to do it folks. I've said this over and over. We're here because we're shooters supporting shooters. We need to work together through this!
Amen!

Larry and his wife are big supporters like million dollar level of NRA and SCI the two I know.

I've been dealing with Powder Valley for many a year and have always appreciated their quality service and reasonable prices. I still do some business with MidwayUSA and probably always will though. I also like Midsouth, Natchez and Grafs to name a few.

Just because I don't like someone's prices (assuming they aren't simply gouging) I don't condemn them. It's called a free market and this is capitalism at it's best... Anyone that thinks everyone should charge the same prices should consider how close this attitude is to socialism.

You should also consider that doing business on the net at the quantities that the above named sellers do is very very complicated and that the best streamlined companies that really have their business fine tuned so they can keep costs down are the ones that are able to have the lowest prices. That's not the only reason for retail pricing but it certainly can't be ignored.

I for one am very glad that we still have choices and a somewhat free market. If we're going to direct our anger maybe we should wake up and start directing it at those who would limit our freedoms especially those who would take our guns and ammo if they could. Many of our forefathers fought and died to preserve those freedoms. Let's thank them the most of all.

Many people who have freedom have no idea where it came from....

Look at the guns he and Brenda just gave to the NRA for auction.

Powder Valley has always been great to deal, I like what they are doing here too. I've had good experiences with a bunch of others including Midway, I like what Larry has done in regards to support of the NRA. I don't think it's good for shooters and hunters to get too nasty towards each other, I'm sure that delights many in the opposite camp that wants to see us do just that. I think we all know we are in war/struggle to keep our way of life and our God given rights and liberties. Kudos to PV for taking the step they did, kudos to Larry for supporting the NRA and for allowing his customer base to do the same. This shortage will straighten itself out as long as the King and Queen don't issue an executive order that disrupts the path to getting there. I'll buy wherever I can find what I need at a reasonable price, 2019 prices aren't coming back anytime soon, at least I won't be waiting for them, I'll be buying what I need when I can find it a fair price which may be a bit higher than I paid a year and half ago.

Just the cost of administrating the "roundup" has to be in the many thousands. His generosity, in all aspects of his life, is legend. Look it up.

Save your vitriol for the true demons in all this. DEMOCRATS.

I'll continue to support Powder Valley and WITHDRAW all my support for scalper Larry Potterfield and his company, MidWay USA. The pandemic showed us one thing; who's with us and who's all out for themselves.
Shiny Nose Larry must want to buy another ranch and pair of shoes for his wife. I'm with you. Midway can stick it.

So when PV prices go up soon to reflect the 5-15% prices increases from hodgdon berger imr ect. is everyone going to boycott them too? lol just asking so maybe I can score some varget and h1k 🤣. I use PV for most of my powder needs but Everyones prices are going up not just midway.
