SOLD/EXPIRED Powder Valley Ramshot Magnum

Is this a good (and tested) alternative to H1000/Retumbo?

Falak,
I only hear from others like us who use this. I guess, range tested by reloaders would be the right way to put it. I have some Mag Pro to replace H4831SC but just got it, no reloads yet.
Not sure which authority puts together burn charts but it's out there.

I've used Ramshot Magnum in my Dad's 300 RUM with 200 Accubonds. Shot it from 15 degrees and did load development at 90+. It was a very good powder with those 200's, haven't tried it with anything else, yet. A chart that I saw has it in between H1000 and Retumbo. I don't push loads to the max and we never had any issues with pressure when it was too hot to be shooting.

Here's how Magnum compares to the burn rates of other powders. This is a ranking by Ba value out of Quick Load
Its much closer to H1000 and RL 26 than to Retumbo.

The best substitutes for Retumbo look like Accurate Magpro and N565.

It's a nice, slow powder that goes bang and can produce good accuracy. I didn't get any delayed fire with it like I did with Magpro so I would probably buy it again if I needed it. I have a decent amount of rl25, rl22, rl33, retumbo, etc. right now. My sore spot has been 4350 class powders as I'm down a good bit on those. I have picked up a few # of I4831 lately to satiate that need though.
I burned it (Magnum) back when they called the powder Big Boy.
