Nice shooting! I kill every one I can. I have pulled to many quills out of my bird dogs over the years.

Yup. Killed many of them, pretty much every landowner that has let me hunt on their land asked me to kill them on sight. I treat them like coyotes.

Old timer tools me to never shoot a porcupine, they're survival food that you don't need a gun to kill.
They are protected in AZ but i will admit to shooting them in Montana while bird hunting. Some of the dogs couldn't leave them alone
