Poor accuracy , need help.

I have a Remington 700 semi heavy barrel rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor sitting in a Magpul stock .
This rifle gave me major headaches trying to figure out what bullet and powder would work to an "acceptable " level for accuracy .
It was shooting sort of OK for a while now its back to useless again.
It started throwing flyers so i changed the scope , all to no avail .
I took the stock off just to see if something bad was going on ( not really sure what i was looking for) .
Didn't find anything out of the ordinary .
I Re assembled it all , went to my favorite shooting place , first group came back ok , after that , it went to hell again .
The rifle will not shoot a group , its more like a line and not even a close one . Last one before i gave up was around 3 inches at 105 yard range .
Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong before i jam the barrel in a vise? .
Could it be an issue with the Stock ? Is the Barrel shot out ?
I,ve wasted so much time and effort trying to get this *** to shoot but i'm all out of ideas and patience now .

Based on what you've posted, my 1st guess would be that the rifle needs to be properly bedded. While it's at the gunsmith, have the crown touched up for good measure.

Something is loose or rubbing.
My 7stw was doing this to me for a spell. It turned out the trigger was touching the inside of the stock occasionally during recoil and twisting things. It could be a screw just a bit loose letting things waddle or similar too. I'd take a look over the rifle, then look at bedding also as previously mentioned.

I put the brush through it after each trip as i do all my rifles . Usually 3 passes with brush then patch until its clean . I usually only go through 20 rounds max for each rifle each session , (likely less ) but i'll say 20 .

Assuming a factory barreled action and you are shooting factory ammo since no data is posted on your groups...have you tried other ammo brands ?
I have a factory Rem 700 6.5 Creedmoor sporter and a Rem 700 5R Gen 2 in 6.5 Creedmoor and they both shoot very well...although they are hand loads. For banging steel and plinking, I mostly shoot Hornady 140 HPBT Match OR Barnes 140 Match Burners with H4350 powder sitting 20k off.
I found the Hornady American Gunner shoots very well in a 6.5C for factory load.

That could explain it shooting bad at first but not towards the end of the shooting session. Barrels do need to be fouled to shoot their best. I usually clean, then shoot until accuracy begins to fall off before cleaning again. I will occasionally run a wet patch of oil down the bore if it's being stored for a while.

Go through the normal stuff. Check torque on scope bases, rings, and action screws. Ensure the barrel is free floating and that the fore end isn't touching when shooting. 3" is massive and that definitely screams that something is wrong. How many rounds are down the barrel in total?

3" at 105 yards points to something loose to me. A non bedded rifle will shoot fine. Not clean would still shoot better than 3 moa. A video of you shooting and closeup of rifle would help. Screams mechanical issue or shooter technique, not load, clean or bedding.

Thats why i always bring 4 rifles , just to see if im having a bad day or its the rifle .
The target with Tikka written on it was shot at the same time ( in between rounds with the remington ) just to see if i was having a bad day .
The Remington has shot some amazing groups but somethings happened .
It may have something to do with the fact that a while back i went and re tightened all the bolts on all my rifles as on one of my Brownings , they had worked themselves loose so i figured i best check and re torque all the rifles .
Thinking back , ever since then , this rifle has been out to lunch . Someone also mentioned and old bench shooters trick on the Remi's 40lbs per inch on the forward stock bolt and 15 on the rear bolt .
I tried playing with the stock bolts on Target # T4 and sure enough the groups seem to be coming together again .

Too much headache and aggravation. If you're financially able, send this one down the road and go for something else.

Seems you did your part then. Not sure where the 15 inch lbs came from. That is what vortex says to tighten their scope rings any chance you have someone close by that can give it a look? Very hard to fix problems like this on forums. Glad the groups are getting better
