Please help with mounting tips. (I mean rifle optics)

Ok, this may be a dumb question so don't make fun of me if it is. I just bought a single piece picatinny rail for my savage. I am just wondering if there is anything special that I need to do like use lock tight, grease, or any special torque settings for the screws.

I had originally purchased a different brand pic base which had torque settings printed on the package literature. The Brownells doesn't say anything about it though.

30 inch pounds is pretty standard for bases screws.
