places to shoot around Cheyenne, WY

I just moved back out to the Cheyenne area and I'm looking for places to shoot where i can get out to at least 800yrds preferably 1000+, I've heard you can shoot out in the Veadawoo area but I was under the impression you couldnt legally shoot out there.

The Pawnee grasslands are 15-20 minutes south of Cheyenne... Take H85 south in CO to WCR122(?) and head east from there, pick a spot as there are many.

They did release the shooting ban because of fires but some restrictions still apply. Mainly it is the kind of targets allowed thanks to some slob shooters and not cleaning up after them selves. Arapaho & Roosevelt National Forests Pawnee National Grassland - Recreation
