Simply put, less brass stretching on the first firing.

With Peterson .300 Win Mag- Long casings, we make them with a longer L-T-S dimension. All the other dimensions are SAAMI spec. But the longer L-T-S prevents the casing from stretching excessively on the 1st firing.

The long still chamber fine in 2 factory savage rifles I own. The one that I compared a fired case to, the lomg brass was .001" shorter than my fired case. The long brass seems like the only way to go for me.

Exactly the same results for me in Rem 700 5R. Love this brass.
Very fair price on this from martinakl, cheaper than I paid from graffs.
