This pair have at least one chick that I can see. They are in the nest that was used by the Great Horned Owls which might be a hawk nest to begin with.

GREAT PICTURES!!!!!!!
Lucky to have a nest near you.
We have a lot of Red Tails where we live. Have a pair living near our property for as long as I remember. They hunt together. One will have a squirrel on one side of the tree and the second will catch the squirrel as it goes to the opposite side.
There are some groups of people that capture Red Tails and train them for hunting squirrels and rabbits. It's amazing to see a hunt with a Red Tail!

Hi have had 2 redtails in an oak tree right beside my house this year. Been awsome watching them. The 2 young ones fell out of the nest last week but are healthy and now living in a big blue spruce we have. The parents are watching over them and the raptor center said they would probably be flying in a week or 2. It was nice seeing your post. Sorry the pictures aren't the greatest, cell phone.
